In this bonus episode of Teach Me Something Tuesday on the Healthcare Education Transformation podcast, we'll be discussing alternative assessments and the benefits of diversifying your evaluation methods in the classroom. Alternative assessments are designed to measure higher-order thinking skills and real-world application of knowledge, and can take various forms such as portfolios, projects, presentations, and peer assessments tasks.

We also discussed formative assessment, which involves ongoing evaluation of student learning which can take on many forms, such as quick checks for understanding, peer feedback, and self-assessment, All these can be a powerful tool for improving student learning.
